Identity of Man Who Died in Hwy 36 Crash Released

CHP Feature FatalityThe California Highway Patrol has released the name of the victim of a crash found near the intersection of Hwy 3 and Hwy 36 on Tuesday.

Per the Investigating officer: Mr. William Thurman from SUSANVILLE, CA was found approximately 30 feet north of his blue Jeep Wrangler which was located on its wheels, approximately 120 feet down a dirt embankment north of the north roadway edge of SR-36.  At this time the cause of death is pending the autopsy results and the date and time when the traffic collision occurred remains under investigation.
