#OilFire [update] north of Willets (Mendocino County) now 20 acres & 50% contained. Fwd progress stopped. 1 residence confirmed destroyed.

  • Saw smoke and immediately jumped in my truck to find where it was coming from. Shoulda known to check with the voice or Kym Kemp sites first!

  • It’s always sketchy on that stretch. People racing to pass before it turns into single lane again. Sorry to hear about the house.

  • It started before 4 because I passed through it at 3:20 and it was well in progress. Emergency personnel on scene and very busy. Has been there for while
