Structure Fire Near Honeydew

A fire consumed a structure in the Moody Ridge area near Honeydew this afternoon. A call came in to dispatch at approximately 4:10 p.m. Firefighters later arrived on scene to fight the fire in the rural area.

Jessica Bergsma Rockenbach who sent in the video below described “[c]hoppers dipping in [the] river behind our house and planes with retardant…at the top of a ridge visible from here.”

Unfortunately, the structure was lost and firefighters are now cleaning up the scene.

At this point we have limited details but we’ll update when we have more.
