Red Flag Fire Warning For Parts of Northwest California

National Weather Service Red Flag warningAccording to the National Weather Service in Eureka, conditions that increase the chance of wildfire will occur tomorrow afternoon to Tuesday morning in parts of Humboldt, Trinity, Del Norte and Mendocino Counties.

They posted on their Facebook page,

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Monday afternoon through late Tuesday morning. An upper-level storm system will drop south along or just east of the Interstate 5 corridor during this time. Gusty northeast winds (especially near ridge top level) will develop on the backside of this system and affect portions of Northwest California.
A Red Flag Warning is issued when low relative humidity values and enhanced wind speeds will combine to create an environment for rapid growth/spreading of a wildfire, should one develop.
