Press release from the Casual Crop eXchange:

On Sunday, September 18th, Humboldt Local, Inc. and Trim Scene Solutions present the End of Summer Casual Crop eXchange at the Trim Scene Solutions store in Southern Humboldt. This 215 farmers market and event is a celebration of our Emerald Triangle Medical Cannabis Community with music by Cold Blue Water, Berel Alexander and DJ Copperton3. The alcohol-free event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the $5 entry fee goes to the Eel River Cleanup Project.

The Casual Crop eXchange features extraction demos, educational speakers, trimming machine demos, great food, local craft artists, local non-profits, live glass blowing demos, a 215 doctor on site and a dab bar with an extract and flower competition judged by attendees! All leftover meds from the competition will be donated to our Humboldt Local, Inc., Compassionate Care Program for Seniors, Veterans and eligible patients.

The September eXchange also features our “Demo Row” where attendees can watch product get trimmed, kiefed and pressed with the most professional state-of-the-art industrial equipment, all within the span of half an hour. This is especially valuable to the small farmer that may be considering a profitable industry investment, like a trimming machine or a rosin press.

Another unique feature of our eXchange is that the Trim Scene Solutions store is right there, on-site, with dedicated and knowledgeable staff ready to answer questions all throughout the day about products available for purchase in the store.

This event is sponsored by KMUD Community Radio, The Benbow Historic Inn, Purge Labs, Triminator, Across International and Sasquash.

Come join us on the 18th, bring your valid 215 and enjoy our community’s best crops of all kinds! The $5 entry fee will be donated to our local, amazing non-profit Eel River Cleanup Project to show appreciation for all of the hard work they do to keep our community clean, respectable, informed and unified. The 215 area is 21+. NO DOGS ALLOWED. For more information email ccx@trimscene.com.

See you at the eXchange. And until then, keep it casual!

  • does this mean you can only get in IF you have a 215?

  • Chief says “Quit smokin that dope!”

    Pot is not medicine.

    • How ignorant. Judgemental much? A lot of people who truly suffer from medical conditions including chronic pain and ongoing diseases find relief in such medicine. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of people who just use it for the mental vacation too.

      • “mental vacation” isn’t that what some medication is used for?

      • Opium used to work real well for people too, in fact there were dens you could go to smoke the crap all day long have fun chasing the dragon.

The point is all medicine is a drug and most drugs can be used as medicine, however all medicine can be abused and used in the wrong way. Maybe we should start having Viagra conventions or maybe oxycodone parties, perhaps Percocet balls. Wait they allready do that at the clubs I forgot.

    • Lost Croat Outburst

      Chief Buzzkill.

  • Trim scene solves nothing. Just puts workers on the street & no machine trims as well as a human no matter what they tell you.

    • I agree with that. also I think it’s kind of early to have an ‘end of season’ event. I mean sure some people have there dep product done, and maybe some early strains, but I’d say the majority of the super chronic local full term will not be ready to show off by september 18th tho. They should do this event in like mid/ end of october instead.

  • Do you need a shitty trim job of which quality can only be achieved by a motor powered blade and vacuum that can only operate at 150+ decibels?

Are you looking for that new bong ,you know the one, made in China and marked up 3-4x the original cost?

Or perhaps you meddle with medical alchemy and you require your very own open blasting BHO kit?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then come on down to Trimscene!

Where we fuck you in the @$$, with a smile 🌞

  • The machine trimmers waste meds/products compared to a dexterity of a human trimmer…
gee I guess some of us cant go who are dependent on Service Animals(service dogs) given the above (NO DOGS)… I would have driven up from the east bay just to attend

ps I am not going to drive this far just to find the organizers are not following ADA laws about service animals..

    • I believe they do allow Service animals because they are with their human the whole time(I saw a couple). I have attended the last couple of CCXs and witnessed dogs being left in the vehicles with the windows up, it was in the 70s one day and 90s the next month. I even heard the live music being interrupted and both Events The event Coordinator made an announcement about the incident warning the owner the windows will be busted out if they did resolve the issue.

    • It should have read “no pets.”

  • Shit You Could By Pallets of Butane From These Idiots .They Supplied the butane to that place that blew up on the west side

  • I hate those machines, you lose all your crystals.it looks dull.hand trimmed is better looking.the machines always gums up yuck.everyone is different.without Marijuana my days would be in pain,or throwing up no sleep.its a pain thing, not a high thing.and if your someone who doesn’t need it,please be kind to those of us who’s life depends on it.my diesese is helped so much by it,that I now have a LIFE!!it’s a private thing to some folks,so please be kind.

    • Lost Croat Outburst

Even mega- growers of food crops in the Valley have a hard time replacing the manual dexterity and judgment of trained workers with machines. Tough for them to get workers now that Congress has gotten so nasty about aliens. Republicans screw Republcans. That’s a great show to watch as long as the rest of us don’t go down with them.

  • Trimming, period, is wasteful, whether by hand or by machine. It’s only done for aesthetics, not unlike a bikini wax.

  • So if you have your 215 but aren’t 21, you cant go into the 215 area?
