Semi Truck Crashes Near Salmon Creek Exit, One Lane Of Highway 101 Closed

image

According to the California Highway Patrol Incident page, a semi truck crashed on Highway 101 just south of the Salmon Creek exit. The truck appears to have taken out part of a railing and gone down a hill.

One northbound lane of the highway is going to be closed for an unknown amount of time while a “hazmat tech” checks out the scene.

Drove by it earlier, the guard rail is completely gone for a good distance and there was no sign of the truck that I could see, but I was heading south and in the slow lane so didn’t get as good of a look as the folks heading north. I can say for sure though the truck was not on the road and the ‘river’ isn’t more then 30 yards or so from where the gaurd rail was.
