Redwood Rural Health Center Gets $80,000 in Federal Funds (Other Northern Calif. Health Centers Get Funds, too)
Press release from Representative Jared Huffman:
Congressman Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded $897,200 in federal funds to health centers across Huffman’s Congressional District to expand on their achievements in providing high quality, comprehensive care.
The funding, awarded as part of Affordable Care Act’s Community Health Center (CHC) Fund, will allow fourteen health centers in California’s second congressional district to invest in current quality improvement systems and infrastructure and to improve primary care service delivery.
“Our health centers across California’s North Coast provide essential and excellent patient care and I’m grateful to HRSA for recognizing their achievements and awarding them this much-needed federal funding,” said Rep. Huffman. “This vital support will allow these health centers to continue providing high quality patient care, while also improving their services that my constituents and our entire community depend on.”
The Department of Health and Human Services announced that the health centers received this funding based upon their high levels of performance in one or more of the following categories: Improving Quality of Care, Advancing Health Equity, Maintaining Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition, Enhancing Access to Care, and Delivering Value.

Ya’ll on welfare up there?
Guess delnorte isn’t in his district.
The term “Comprehensive” in any grant or deal is a dead giveaway it’s a no good for nothing power grab. Notice they’re leaving out the terms of what they have to do in order to get the money. Expect more intrusive questions about your lifestyle when you visit your dr. We, the supposed free country, wouldn’t need crumbs if the first place if we were truly free. How’s those taxes & junk studies working for ya?
Venezuela is the practice country. Pay attention to everything that’s going on there. I’m serious.
All your answers will be computerized for a reason. It’s not about health.
Kym, where did you get this release? It’s not up on Rep Huffmans website. I am curious as it left out a few health centers who also received monies
Huffman sent out the release. I would contact his office.
