[UPDATE 4:11 p.m.] Residents Being Evacuated From A Structure Fire in Arcata

Fire crews arrived at the scene of a structure fire in the 400 block of Bayside Road in Arcata about 4:05 p.m. There they found a two story wood framed apartment with black smoke coming from the eaves. Arcata Police are evacuating residents from the building.

UPDATE 4:11 p.m.: The fire is contained to one bedroom according firefighters on scene.According to talk on the scanner, they appear to be able to keep it from spreading.
