Is he out on Bail yet? Good ol’ “Catch & Release”…
I am thankful that no one was seriously injured. That being said, I would not be surprised if one (or all) bank employees chasing the perp were disciplined by the bank. No amount of money is worth a human life, employee, customer or bystander. Standard policy is to activate the alarms, cameras and (if safe) determine which way the perp escaped and whether by foot, bicycle, auto, etc. intentions are laudable but these bank employees absolutely blew it. Glad the perp was captured and I hope he was hurt bad.
People are fed up with crime around here. It might be time to import a couple of off-duty cops from Brazil.
Proof- your are right, but we determined he did not have a gun as he left. The Employees did not follow. I did. He was limping, so I got a little to close as I was screaming to everyone that he robbed the bank, hoping for help, which came when a man saw him hit me. The biggest piss-off in this was I waited at the hospital for 2 hours, finally left without being seen. He can and left with a officer. Robber gets preferred service at hospital.
Thank you for what you did!
They probably will get into trouble. But damnit. We get sick of being ripped off robbed and them thinking nothing will ever come of it!!!! Good going bank employees!!!
I always kinda root outlaw when it comes to bank robberies.
It’s red on red action, or criminal vs criminal and I don’t have any skin in the game.
The employees were stupid to give chase, seeing the bank just prints the money to begin with.
45 years of Fiat money, something the Masons that created the country made a law aGainst that was overturned.
Americans don’t believe anything, until they see it on television – Richard Nixon
This “reporting” is all wrong. It’s spelled Tri Counties Bank. It wasn’t employees that gave chase (so everyone can stop bagging them).
@ Honeydew, Banks don’t print money. The US Government does.
Thank you for the catch on the spelling. The scanner said employees but if you have direct knowledge, I would like to speak with you. My email is [email protected]
Banks may not literally print paper money, but the fact is that the vast majority of money in existence isn’t physical paper money or coins anyway. Banks do in fact create money out of thin air since they are allowed to lend many times more than they actually hold in hard assets.

Isn’t a bank robber considered a freebie, why not give chase, sheesh, have a little fun people.
Give Chase but not after the robber per say, Chase the bag of money he is carrying, take it or offer to split it half to get the dogs off his back yes indeed a free for all when the chips go down, count me in
If the bank employees get in trouble, we launch a gofundme page for them and make ’em the grand marshals of the Pony Express Days parade, to the bank’s shame. Easy.
Seems that people make light of a bank robber or a bank that has been robbed. The fact is that it is a felony and it is connected to prison on a one way bus. All you people who have made jest of this situation please consider what “could” have happened. The fact that no one was shot is a blessing. Please recognize the fact that companies have to discourage their employees from being involved in foul play due to what it will “cost” them to care for any employee that decides to “help” and get hurt (Workers Comp. / Insurance rates)–Reality seems to be that the desperation that drives a person to rob a bank must be devestating..I know it is wrong, and I know that someone is going to jail for a long time and may be leaving a family, but, I also know that our society in general is in dire straits and this is just a sign of the times that we are living in. Happens all the time in the bigger cities. I am thankful that this is not a common problem in our county.
There is no way in hell if I worked at a bank I would risk my life for money that’s not even mine! What the hell it won’t effect them so “Billy don’t be a hero”
Bank of America in Henderson center was robbed about a year ago, Umpqu was robbed this last week in Henderson center,a credit union on Central Ave here in Eureka was also robbed today, over by WinCo. It’s getting bad everywhere.
Thank you Tri Counties employees for watching out for my money.
The employees did exactly what they were suppose to do. I was the only customer in the bank at the time. I asked to be let out to follow him. I never thought he would turn around and hit me with the bag of money. My fault. I was thankful that a gentleman at the Shell Station came to help me tackle him. Thank You John for the great Assist.
