Redwood Empire Little League All Stars 11-Year-Olds Clinch Section 2 Championship for Northern California
There are some bright faces this week in baseball land. The Redwood Empire Little League (RELL) 11-Year-Old All Stars defeated East Redding twice in a row in order to clinch the Section 2 championship title and were headed to the State Championship today.
According to baseball mom, Greta Turney, “The 11s lost once to East Redding, but met them again In the final championship game. Because it was a double-elimination tournament, RELL had to defeat East Redding twice in the final championship games because East Redding hadn’t lost any games in the section 2 tournament. RELL was able to defeat East Redding twice in a row in order to clinch the section 2 championship title.”
Today they were in Anderson for the State Championship tournament. Anyone know how they did?
