While a co-worker called the police, the manager went outside to confront Casey. The manager followed Casey and pointed him out to a responding officer who detained Casey near the corner of 6th/G Street. The SUV’s owner was contacted and he confirmed several dollars’ worth of spare change had been taken from his vehicle. The stolen coins were subsequently recovered from Casey’s pockets.
Casey was arrested for 459 PC –Burglary (a felony) as well as probation violation and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
