[UPDATE] Home Invasion: Male Resident Handcuffed and Assaulted

On 7/06/2016, at 4:56 a.m., Eureka Police Department officers responded to the 1300 block of ‘M’ Street for a report of a home invasion robbery. Upon investigation, officer learned that two males, wearing ski masks and gloves, forced their way into the residence. The suspects were armed with handguns.

The suspects used handcuffs to secure the only adult male resident. A child and an elderly subject were not restrained. The suspects assaulted the victim as they interrogated him over the location of valuables. The suspects gained access to the victim’s safe and stole several items. The suspects took the victim’s car keys and stole his 1999 green Mercury Cougar, California license 7GOT642. This robbery is an active investigation and anybody with information about the suspects or the location of the stolen car is asked to contact Detective Ron Harpham at (707) 441-4305.

UPDATE: According to the Eureka Police Department, “EPD recovered the stolen vehicle last night around 11:00 p.m. in the 1600 block of G Street. The vehicle was unoccupied and towed from the scene for evidence processing.”

  • To threaten a child is the lowest thing a pos like these guys. oh and the government wants to take our guns .wtf .they’d have to pry it from my fingers before I give them up these days you have to have a gun just to feel safe in ones own home .good ol pukreaka what a nice place to live. NOT

  • Yep and CA just past a bunch of new gun laws. Wonder what they’ll do next time some nut or Islamic terrorist kills a bunch of people.
