  • What absolute cowards.

  • Unbelievable lowlife cowards.

  • To Rob the elderly is despicable

  • Dang, so Scarry to hear of people robbing random house. Or did those robbers purposley choose an elderly couple? Sorry they had to experience that and I’m glad they weren’t hurt.

  • Several hundred dollars in quarters? Only a tweaker would steal money that might weigh more in pounds than the dollar amount taken.
Time to stake out coin changers.

    • What? It’s several HUNDRED dollars, who wouldn’t take several hundred dollars in any denomination unless it was pennys, even then. That was the intention of “robbing” the house, is to get valuables and money. To say it was tweakers is presumptive but somewhat funny. Now if you’d said they took the harmonica knowing it was a harmonica and it wasn’t just mistaken for another type of valuable, or mixed in with other valuables, that would be more indicative of tweakers m.o.

      • It reminded me of an old worker turned tweaker back in the 80’s that took a water pump I had let go fallow due to getting a gravity source. This pump was so far down a steep canyon that getting to it was like a backpack trip in and of itself.
Then I heard from a neighbor who last employed him and their water tanks, also not easy to get, had gone missing.
He was so stupid he tried to fence them locally and got caught.
I did a little math and figured that the time and effort he put into this rip off ended up coming out to about one to two dollars an hour at best. Not worth committing a crime over IMO.
Any one whose street name starts with rip off ( fill in the blank ) says it all.

  • This is a tragedy. They have had more than items stolen, they’ve been robbed of their safety and piece of mind. Blessings to the couple.

    • Truly. Robbed of their peace. What a shameful, cowardly act. Hope they catch the men responsible for this. Sad day in Humboldt. 🙁

  • About as sad as it gets another reason to get out .

  • Harmonica?

  • What kind of harmonica was it? A old Hohner Marine band? Maybe it was mixed in with other “valuable” items.

So sick of crime. Need to put these ass***** on a chain gang like the old days first offense. For some of these losers 3 squares and a bed…little TV dang better then having to find a job to support yourself. If we made jail a real punishment maybe one time would do it…instead of they boys club atmosphere!
