[Update: They Looked for Love in All the Right Places] Man Wanted for Sex Crimes Sought by Mendocino County Sheriff After Escaping Custody

According to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Facebook page,

On 4:27 PM Mendocino County Jail Inmate Thessalonian Love escaped from Correctional staff when being transferred from the Ukiah Courthouse to the County Jail.

Love was last seen westbound on Smith Street near the intersection of Oak Street in the city of Ukiah.

Love is described as being a black male, 25-years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 165 pounds with short dread-lock style black hair and brown eyes.

Love was last seen wearing tan pants, black shoes and a blue shirt…

If seen call 9-1-1 and do not approach.

Love was arrested for sex related crimes.

According to Crime Voice,

…he had made contact via social media with a 15-year-old girl living in Point Arena…During Love’s contact with the girl, he had convinced her to send him nude photographs of herself, and he sent her sexually explicit messages. Evidence later showed that he was aware of her age and status as a minor, 10 years younger than him.

UPDATE 7:28 a.m.: The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reports on its Facebook page this morning, “The Sheriff’s Office and the Ukiah Police Department worked together to capture Thessalonian Love just a few minutes ago near Walgreens on Perkins Street in Ukiah. We’d like to thank all those community members that kept a vigilant watch out for him.”
