Memorial Day Services in Southern Humboldt

flagOn Monday, May 30, the Southern Humboldt Veteran’s Association Honor Guard will once again provide Memorial Day services at three different local cemeteries.

The first is at the Garberville Cemetery. It will start loosely between 9 and 9:30 a.m. The second is at Briceland Cemetery at 11 a.m. And the final one will be at 1 p.m. in Shelter Cove at the Light House.  There will be a gun salute and then Taps.

This is a very moving and beautiful ceremony. The group of vets preforming are representing all branches of the armed services and from all walks of life. I would recommend going and taking the family. Diffidently one of my best memories of spending time at a cemetery.
