Weaverville man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges
This is a press release from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
Trinity County Sheriff’s Office Detectives received information from another state that suspect Jesse Jerome Land was trading Child Pornography with a subject in their jurisdiction. A search warrant was served on May 12, 2016 at Land’s residence in Weaverville, CA where several items of evidence were located. Jesse Land was subsequently arrested and interviewed, where he admitted to sending and receiving Child Pornography. Jesse Land was booked into the Trinity County Jail on the above charges. Land is currently still in custody at the Trinity County Jail being held on $50,000.00 bail.
Charges:311.11(b) PC – Possession of Control of Matter Depicting Sexual Conduct of Person Under Age 18yo – by someone who has been previously convicted of a crime requiring registration under the Sex Offender Registration Act.
