[UPDATE 1:11 p.m.] Armed Robbery on Broadway This Morning
At approximately 3:15 this morning, a man wearing dark clothes walked into the gas station at 2800 Broadway in Eureka. He brandished a firearm and demanded money.
According to Eureka Police spokesperson, Brittany Powell, he received an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen headed southbound on Broadway.
A press release is expected later this morning. (Hopefully, with clear film from surveillance cameras.)

On May 13, 2016, at about 3:15 a.m., officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to a gas station on the 2800 block of Broadway for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
An employee told officers that a male demanded money from the register and displayed a black handgun from his jacket pocket. The male took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and left the store on foot. He was last seen walking south on Broadway.
Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a male, 6’, medium build, wearing a black baseball hat with red brim, black ski mask, black jacket, dark pants, and black gloves.

What’s with alllll these gas station robberies?maybe there needs to be more than one worker at night and maybe a police car parked outside at night
Or better cameras .
i’ve seen it in other areas
since most gas stations now have a small store that stays open and no protection for checker , seen lots in other areas closing store part and if you need gas using cash you go to bullet proof glass counter to pay .
think thats what might be needed soon if the gas stations continue to be easy , middle of the night targets
