[UPDATE 4:29 p.m.] Two Vehicle Collision Involving Caltrans Truck; One Lane Blocked North of Kenmar Exit

As of 3:36 p.m, an ambulance is on the way to a traffic accident involving a Caltrans vehicle north of the Kenmar exit. According to scanner traffic, there is major damage to one vehicle. One southbound lane is completely blocked.

UPDATE 3:47 p.m.: According to scanner traffic, “A patient has been extricated onto a backboard.”

UPDATE 4:28 p.m.: According to Myles Cochrane a spokesperson for Caltrans, “Somebody struck one of our vehicles inside of a closure. The Caltrans vehicle that was struck was traveling inside the cone zone in the number one lane. No Caltrans employees required medical attention.”
