[UPDATE 6:55 p.m.] Holdup at Umpqua Bank in Weaverville
Press release from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office:
On May 9, 2016 at approximately 1:10pm Trinity County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a report of a holdup alarm at Umpqua Bank on Main Street in Weaverville, CA. Deputies responded to Umpqua Bank where employees informed Officers that a white male adult, clean shaven approximately 6 feet tall wearing black pants, a long sleeve black shirt, a beanie type hat and large sunglasses held up the bank with a semi-automatic firearm and left the bank with an unknown amount of cash. We have reports that the subject either left on foot or car.
Weaverville Elementary School was put on a soft lockdown as a precaution. Students will be released at normal times and Officers are on scene.
Photos of what is believed to be the getaway car. The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office stated, ” They believe there is a driver and the suspect in the vehicle. They are working on getting the make and model of the vehicle. Please contact the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office if you have any information 530-623-2611.”

Kym, If this is the quality of the pictures they (Law Enforcement) are going to release why even post them. I’m guessing they don’t want anyone robbing the robbers
