Eureka Man Arrested for DUI After Crash Last Night

This is a press release from the California Highway Patrol. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

chpstarOn the evening of Wednesday, May 4, a DUI driver rolled his vehicle after driving into the center median of US-101, south of Indianola Cutoff.

Just after 10:00p.m., 25 year old Max Nicholas Magnatta of Eureka was driving 2003 Toyota Highland northbound on US-101 while under the influence of alcohol.  Due to Magnatta’s level of alcohol impairment, he drove the Toyota off the roadway.  The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its passenger side.  Magnatta was not injured during the collision.  Magnatta was placed under arrest for Misdemeanor DUI and booked at the Humboldt County Jail.

The California Highway Patrol Humboldt Area is investigating this traffic collision.
