Awesome. wonder what the green is on beak. Never seen that guess I need to do more birding
During the breeding season, the Great Egret’s cere turns green and its upper beak turns black. It’s not visible in this shot, but it’s also sporting a skirt of wispy plumes on its back that it will shed during the fall when its young have fledged.
