Who Was the Man Killed in Recent Vehicle Vs Pedestrian Case Near Herrick Ave on Hwy 101?

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a deceased male. The deceased was involved in a vehicle versus pedestrian collision case that occurred on April 16, 2016 on Highway 101 near the Herrick Ave exit. The decedent did not have identification on his person, and his fingerprints did not produce any results.
John Doe is described as a white male adult, between 5’6” and 5’8”, 140-160 lbs, with brown hair, blue or green eyes, and a full beard. He was wearing gray pants, brown boots, a black San Francisco Giants t-shirt with “Posey” across the back, a dirty tan coat, and carrying a red and black backpack.
