I’ll Take a Side of Doughnuts With That Arson…Ticket Booth in Rohner Park Set Afire Last Night

1280px-Box_of_doughnuts_(5533414164)Over a dozen doughnuts were left behind at the scene of an arson fire on the Fortuna Rodeo Grounds early this morning. Officer Gabe Charlton explained, “We responded to the rodeo grounds. One of ticket booths was on fire.”

Oddly, an unusual clue was left behind. Charlton said, there was “over a dozen doughnuts inside the booth and on top of the window sill where the fire started.”

“It was a little bizarre,” he said.

The fire crews were able to get it out before it destroyed the whole building. But, said Charlton about a $1000 worth of damage was done and “one wall is going to have to be replaced.”

The Fortuna Police have “a couple of leads,” Charlton said. But if you have any information please contact them at (707) 725-7550.

The cops are hanging out at the doughnut shop reviewing footage of recent customers right now. (Sorry, couldn’t resist this one!}

Maybe it wasn’t arson so much as a cooking fire.

It would be weird if there were no connection between the fact of donuts, and the fact of a fire that would attract law enforcement. I would not eat those donuts if i were them!
