Blue Lake Fire Destroys a Structure; Arson Task Force Investigating

A structure in the 300 block of Blue Lake Blvd caught on fire about 1:20 this morning and was destroyed. The fire spread into nearby trees and another structure on the property.

One neighbor wrote, “Evacuated cars and pets before fire closed private drive.”

The fire crews eventually got the situation under control and began mopping up.

According to the Lost Coast Outpost scanner monitor, the arson task force of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene.
