Man Flees Police But Gets Caught Anyway

About 10:40 last night, an Arcata Police Officer began pursuing a silver Chevrolet northbound on Hwy 101 after the driver failed to yield near the Sunset offramp. The driver took footbail (fled the vehicle on foot) near Guintoli Lane and was pursued by the officer westward towards Heindon Road. A passenger stayed with the vehicle.

A perimeter was set up with multiple agencies assisting.  After a search, the driver was eventually found, detained and arrested at approximately 11:30 p.m.
