UPDATE 1:46 p.m.: A frequent commenter, Sageman, states below, “Crazy chick nearly clipped me @ 95 with CHP on her tail and lost it on the curves before Myers and then got out of the car and “tried” to run…they had spike strips at Myers waiting for her from what I heard so she wasn’t gonna get far…nobody injured….freeking miracle…good job to all the first responders.”

UPDATE 2:09 p.m.: Lt. Matt Eberhardt of the Fortuna Police tells us that the vehicle being chased was stolen from the Riverwalk area of his town. He explained, “A civic minded citizen was picking up garbage and left his keys in the car…The next thing he knows his car is gone.” The Fortuna Police were still taking the report when the California Highway Patrol began the chase. “We heard they had someone in custody,” he said.

Driving around here is getting Scary lately. Lots of people driving rigs like they stole em. Driving way beyond their skill levels. Agree with V.F., the Avenues always a good slow ride. Good for your brain. PLEASE, don’t leave your keys in the car.

We first saw her in around Fortuna. She was all over the road, and had her emergency flashers on. Thank god we passed the Highway patrol after a few miles. I was getting nervous having her in front of us. We passed her once, and then she blew by us a couple minutes later, and then the pursuit. Glad no one was hurt.

Ya she hit my trailer from behind going 100, my trailer then jacked knifed and spun me around into the guardrail. I’m glad I was able to stop the suspect.

Side story. Was just on briceland Rd between China Creek and Huckleberry Hill and witnessed someone who was holding traffic back so the first vehicle tried to pass on a straight stretch and the other driver gunned it to prevent the pass, as they were side by side a car(local lady, old school counselor) came around the corner. Driver barely made it in in front of the guy, second there was a truck that was going to try to pass! The guy swerves several times at the other young scared driver at that point I didn’t kno what to think but stay back and honk, finally he pulled over slightly for me as well but came at me( mind u I was side by side and I was fully in my Lane) I hit me breaks to see it was a local water truck driver pissed off! He screamed and yelled and threatened but I took a pic and left him with a sham wave! Long story short is the owner of “Wantts Water” is a very scary driver on our roads!! Thank you
