Butane Extraction Lab Found on Blue Slide Road, Man Arrested

On Thursday, March 24, 2016 at about 6:30 p.m. the Humboldt County Drug Task Force served a search warrant in the 9500 block of Blue Slide Rd in Ferndale. During the search, agents located a butane extraction lab being used to make concentrated cannabis. A total of 400 pounds of marijuana plant material, 3,804 grams of concentrated cannabis packaged for sales, 17,808 grams of marijuana bud packaged for sales, and 27 marijuana plants were seized. Thirty-three year old Steven Edward Erickson was on scene and arrested by DTF Agents.
Erickson was taken to the Humboldt County Correctional facility where he was booked for possession of marijuana for sales and manufacturing a controlled substance. His bail was set at $500,000.
