UPDATE: 1-Way Controlled Traffic on Hwy101 North of Leggett

A rock slide has closed Highway 101 2.7 miles north of Leggett and the junction with Highway 1. Caltrans is advising motorists to use an alternate route.

The California Highway Patrol has clarified the situation a little.

While the road is officially closed, Caltrans crews on site are allowing traffic to go through when possible. Travelers are advised to use this route at their own risk.

It could be hours or just a few minutes from when they arrived at the slide to when they are allowed to go through.
