Graphic from the National Weather Service.

Did you hear the thunder last night? If you missed it, don’t worry; the National Weather Service predicts you’ll have more chances to hear it this morning.

The National Weather Service also warns of snow above 3000 feet until about 4 p.m. today. There are chain controls in several places along Hwy 36.

Then after midnight tonight, watch out for the wind. Gusts might reach 50 mph so secure loose items.

UPDATE 7 a.m.: 90 lightning strikes in the last 24 hours, tweets the NWS.  (Glad it’s not fire season!)
