Homicide Victim Identified in Saturday’s Stabbing, Public Asked to Help Locate Suspect

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has named the victim in Saturday fatal stabbing. Thirty-year-old Rodger Allan Yale of Hoopa died as the result of stab wounds sustained during an argument at a gas station.

Humboldt County law enforcement are searching for Gearold Sotolongo also known as Roldo Pratt. He is wanted for Yale’s homicide.



Sotolongo is a 30-year-old Native American male. He stands 5’8, weighs 225 lbs and has black shoulder length hair as well as a full beard.

If anyone can help locate Sotolongo, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office urges them to call.
