Car Chase Through Eureka Ends in Crash into a Building on West Harris

EPD Eureka Police Department BlurA two door black vehicle sped away from law enforcement tonight in Eureka. According to the scanner, the vehicle “blew the stop sign at southbound Harris.” Eventually, it crashed into a building at 411 West Harris about 11:45 p.m.

An unknown male fled the scene running south on Union then westbound on West Everding.

Eureka Police have begun setting up a perimeter and searching for the subject, a tall male wearing all black.

I thought the car involved was black? Is this the same incident or something completely different?

That’s what happens when you are southbound on a street that runs east/west.

Thank-you SWR. My thoughts exactly. I thought that maybe my mental compass went bad.

So do the police think it’s safe to chase someone through town at high speed? In other countries they have unmarked cars follow them on the down low letting them believe they got away then nab the perpetrators when much safer instead of high speed chases endangering all others…
This shit needs to stop. No high speed chases through our town, no thank you!
