Details on at least one assault are coming in. What we know is that a fight left a man with stab wounds in a residence on the 800 block of H Street in Eureka. The 30-year-old man reportedly has four to six lacerations around his knee cap.

There may be additional victims.

UPDATE 9:19 p.m.: The building belongs to the Squires, according to a neighbor.

No, no. The square-ish building belongs to the squires. That Big Victorian era place, and the little house next to it, and garage behind it, belonged to Judge Morrison. It probably still does. It’s the one that caught fire a few months back. I’ve seen that it’s been boarded up the last couple years, so those folks were quite possibly squatters, but I could be wrong . Still, it’s right along Speed Alley, though.

History of squire is repetitious.

I’ll repeat what I said, I lived there, and I paid rent to the Judge, he was my landlord, not the Squires. Unless they bought it from Judge Morrison since then, which I highly doubt, for he liked that place on 8th and H. He didn’t care for the Squires’ building as neighbors, either.

The corner of H and 9th, across the alley from the place on the corner of H and 8th, is indeed owned by the squires. But that’s not the place that was taped off. It does look like the tape got to that building, but not around it, in the photos shown.

Does it really matter who owned the damn building anyway?

yes, it kind of matters due to the fact that some of Squire’s property is rented by strange folks, but NOT all are weird, many are just poor and trying to stay out of the elements, but he does not charge a lot for people to be off the street. The judge may have a different set of tenants.

What difference does it make who the building belongs to? Are you serious?
Eureka, one dirty old town!
The 2nd Amendment is the only protection you really have!
