Road Work in Eureka
Press release from the Humboldt County Department of Public Works:
The Humboldt County Department of Public Works has contracted with Mercer Fraser Company, to install sub-surface drainage in the intersection of Harris Street and Harrison Avenue.
The Harris St. and Harrison Ave. signal will flash “red” during the construction. Flaggers will direct traffic within the construction area. Private property access will be maintained during the duration of the project.

Think this is closer to the new Ace Hardware and Safeway. Henderson Center is about 20 blocks west. Just say’in….. Looks like they are going to fix the water leak in that intersection.
Now if they would only change the lights at that intersection and give a dedicated left turn signal for traffic turning west onto Harris Street from Harrison Avenue. That’s got to be one of the worst intersections in Eureka.
