Drink Water Freely, Says Redway Community Services District

waterworldWater usage in Redway returns to normal as of 4 p.m. today. This follows several days of residents being asked to boil water due to “increases in turbidity.”

Here’s the press release from the Redway Community Services District:

Thank you for your cooperation in implementing the Boil Order. Although we appreciate the inconvenience this may have created for our customers, public health is our first priority. The conditions that led to the increases in turbidity that necessitated the Boil Order have been corrected.

RCSD has received notification from North Coast Labs that two consecutive water samples, taken twenty four hours apart, have been negative for signs of contamination in our distribution system. Based on these results RCSD has a go ahead from the California Division of Drinking Water to rescind the Boil Water Order issued on January 19th. RCSD does not anticipate the need to issue any future alerts in this matter.

If you would like to be on an email list to receive RCSD announcements please send your name and email address to [email protected].

The Boil Water Order is hereby lifted as of 4pm on January 22nd 2016.

For more information call RCSD at 707-923-3101 or email RCSD at: [email protected]
