Deceased Man Found near Alderpoint Road This Morning

A dead man was found near the Alderpoint Road this morning, confirmed Selena Zorrilla-Mendoza, a Community Service Officer with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. She said that at approximately 10:15 a.m. her office received a report of a possible dead body “from a citizen walking their dog” in the 7000 block of Alderpoint Road between Dyerville Loop and Bell Springs. “We were near the area and responded,” she said. “The subject was a deceased male,” she said, and the situation is “still under investigation.”

More information will be released later but Zorrilla-Mendoza is not sure when.
