Photo of the 1990 red Chevy pickup belonging to the victim provided by MendocinoSportsPlus, a Facebook based news site for the area, taken at Van Damme State Park in June.

Yesterday, January 2, just before noon the Fort Bragg Police Department “discovered a deceased victim” in “suspicious” circumstances at a residence in the 100 block of Morrow Street. (See here for press release.) They are seeking help locating the victim’s vehicle, “a red 1990 Chevrolet 1500 pickup (CA License 6X41801) with a hand-built shingled shack on the rear. The victim’s Rottweiler is also missing.

Because of the suspicious nature of what they found, they called in the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Justice to help investigate.

MendocinoSportsPlus, an Facebook based news site in the area, located photos of the vehicle in his collection and has posted them here.

If you have seen either the vehicle or the dog, the Fort Bragg Police Department asks you to contact them at (707) 964-0200.

Twenty years ago that might have been good camo for the South jetty…

How you gonna hide in that? He should steal a Toyota, put on a fake beard, bill hat, and slap a 707 sticker on the back glass with a bandanna wearing pit bull tied up in the back, while doing doughnuts around beach walkers.

He could hide years in plain site.

Happy NEW Year!

Will you just move away then, good lord, you hate the majority of people here! Instead of spewing out negativity in your special illogically poor style of writing just leave. Once again, get mental help and stfu!!!! That being said much condolences to the victims family and friends. I hope they find the suspect soon and can return his special truck and dog to his family.

Barry w. His obsession with the number one vehicle manufacturer in 2014, Toyota, is beyond weird. His writing style is annoying at best. “He could hide years in plain site”? No, he could hide for years in plain site. He can not hide a measurement of time in plain site though. Learn how to write Barry!

The slight indention of the comment from STFU indicates a response to Barry W. Note my response to you. Slightly indented. Slightly demented. Barry is part of the anger cadre. Everything is bad, nothing is good, all the time. Angry, bitter, sad, lashing out, like Mr. Hardin. Plus, there was no other comment at the time, I think.
