Road Updates for Tuesday

First, before traveling any state road (101, 299, 255, 254, 96, 36, etc.,) look at this map here. Make sure to check the yellow triangle in the upper left corner. Then click on any yellow or red triangle in your travel route to learn about any issues. (See graphic below.)

Now let’s talk specific roads (as of 7:40 a.m.)

Humboldt:

Hwy 96 has rocks in the road and is “barely passable.”

Hwy 299 has a large boulder in its eastbound lane.  As of 8 a.m., a spokesperson tells us, “We’ve got one-way-traffic control on Route 299 at Humboldt postmile 36.3.”

Blue Slide north of Rio Dell closed due to large rocks. (As of 7 a.m. this morning.)

Old Arcata Road flooded from Jacoby Creek to Bayside.

Stagecoach closed indefinitely from city limits to the south and m.p. 2.2 on the north side due to damaged culvert.

Meridian between Port Kenyon and Centerville is closed – flooding

Hookton Road and Eel River Drive is now closed – flooding

Glendale closed at m.p. 2.2 – flooding

Mendocino:

Route 1 at the Garcia River closed due to flooding. There is no estimated time of reopening.

Route 128 at the Navarro River closed due to flooding. There is no estimated time of reopening.

Route 175 at the Russian River closed due to flooding. There is no estimated time of reopening.
