That road was closed yesterday. People need to read signs.
lot of current there beware of dead cows when surfing the sand bar
Good warning for a few people.
I thought the dead cow thing was only in India… i saw some buzzards get stuck in a dead cow … i still cant get the image erased. ITS RAINING…. ITS POURING …. MERRY CHRISTMAS… HOPE EVERYONES O.K.
I feel terrible for them, but the road was closed as of 12-19-15, so why were they out there? Duck-hunting and surfing isnt worth risking your life, is it?
I’m curious about this–what happened? Someone must have had a stroke or a heart attack. The pictures just make it look like they’re out in the middle of a swampy field–buildings and people not a long walk off.
Ummmm…yeah. They were rescued from the WATER by a Coast Guard helicopter and taken to land. People DO live near there. Do you ever think before you type??
Thank you for the clarification. The pictures look exactly like they are being hoisted up from a grassy area, which (i did actually think for a moment to reach this conclusion) suggested to me that that was where they’d been rescued from. Glad to know they didn’t have strokes or heart attacks… but sorry to (later) hear about the dog.
Don’t worry about it Laura. Oftentimes, and in this case as well, the pictures only show where the patient is extracted to and not where the actual rescue took place. Have a good day.
You have a good night!
