A vehicle struck a pedestrian about 6:20 this evening near the intersection of 5th and E Streets. According to scanner traffic, two lanes of 5th Street were blocked and one lane of E Street was also closed down temporarially

Scanner traffic indicates that a 66-year-old woman was hit by a Chevy Tahoe moving slowly. She appears to have minor injuries. She was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka.

Any idea how she’s doing? Poor lady atleast the vehicle was moving slowly
