[UPDATE 6:38 p.m.] Attempted Robbery in Eureka, Man Detained
Eureka Police responded with lights and sirens to the report of an attempted robbery at the Shell Station on West Harris about 6 p.m. tonight. According to scanner traffic, a 31-year-old male was detained. The man was already on probation for trespass, vandalism and battery.
UPDATE 6:38 p.m.: According to EPD Sgt. Travis Braud, the man didn’t threaten the clerk with a weapon, he just asked for money. The subject was detained for being intoxicated.
