[UPDATE: ‘Services Are Back Up’] Phone Service Restored to Many; Complete Restoration by Noon
After a cable was cut by a backhoe, thousands of customers lost phone service and internet. Mostly, the customers were from AT&T but other customers lost service from Verizon, too. Crews worked through the storm last night along Hwy 101 between Fortuna and Rio Dell.Today, Senator Mike McGuire tweeted that cell service had been restored in many areas but full restoration isn’t expected until noon.

UPDATE 8:17 a.m.: According to a tweet from the County of Humboldt, “all services are back up and running.”
