CapturePG&E is out for approximately 3200 customers in Eureka around the extended Sequoia Park Zoo area. (See map above.) It went out about 5:17 p.m.

The electric company states the cause is “damaged equipment on a power pole.” It projects that power will be restored by 6:45 p.m.

UPDATE 5:56 p.m.: Power has been restored to all but 252 customers in the Henderson Center area.

UPDATE 6 p.m.: Power restored to all but one customer.

Yes it was finally restored..but really? 2 hours this morning, and now again at dinner….don’t get me wrong, I had candles to allow my 84 year client to at least see her dinner….BUT…this has occurred 6 times this year, almost on a regular basis..and always blamed on transformers, or unexplained. What is the problem in Eureka?
