‘This Is An Attack on All of Humanity,’ Says Obama in Response to Ongoing Attacks in Paris

Multiple media sources are reporting that dozens of people are dead and others are still being held hostage in what looks like a concerted attack in multiple areas of Paris, France. You can follow the latest in the Twitter feed at the bottom of our page. But here is a sampling of stories coming in. The New York Times reports,

Shootings and explosions erupted in the Paris area on Friday night, and French news services said at least 39 people were dead, dozens wounded and others taken hostage in what appeared to be coordinated militant attacks.

French television reported that one of at least two explosions had struck near Paris at the country’s main sports stadium, forcing the hasty evacuation of President François Hollande. The explosion occurred during a France-Germany soccer match.

The shooting broke out at a popular concert hall, The Bataclan, where a death metal band was playing, and the France 24 website said dozens of hostages had been taken there. [Read more here.]

The BBC has live coverage here. At approximately, 2:35, a BBC reporter tweeted that no shooters have yet been arrested. At 2:45 p.m. the latest from the BBC states,

Shooting at the Bataclan venue began one hour into the concert of a California rock group called Eagles of Death Metal, BFM TV said.

It added that one or two people came in and began shooting in the air.

At least 60 people are being held hostage. It is unclear whether band members are among the hostages.

NPR is following President Obama’s speech.

The one thing that is certain is that it wasn’t “Muslem terrorists”.

You are so sure of this why? There are reports of Isis claiming responsibility and a witness account of a shooter claiming something about Syria. Granted the source was Fox news. Just wondering how you know what so many don’t.

Seriously, you must be the only person in America that doesn’t get the joke. Have someone explain it to you.

Ohhhhhhh… I get it now. Its funny because in the immediate wake of other people’s pain and suffering, your first reaction is to take a jab at the liberal media. I honestly didn’t think anyone was less sensitive than myself during a time of tragedy. Well done sir.

I fear for Europe and for the world. I am in a state of shock; my heart is breaking; and this song won’t stop running through my head: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSUIQgEVDM4

The LATimes corroborates the numbers with their 4:53pm update which ALSO and extremely significantly reports that France’s borders are now closed:
http://www.latimes.com/world/europe/la-fg-paris-attacks-live-updates-htmlstory.html

This, from the Guardian:
• A state of emergency has been declared across France, after at least 140 people were killed in terrorist attacks around Paris.
• Shootings took place in a number of locations around the capital, including at least two restaurants and the Bataclan concert hall, with further explosions –reported to be two suicide attacks and a bombing – outside the Stade de France, where the national side were playing Germany in a football match.
• About 100 people were taken hostage at Bataclan in the 11th arrondissement, in what is thought to be a coordinated attack. Security forces have now killed two attackers in the Bataclan concert hall but police report at least 118 people – many of them young people attending a rock concert – are believed to have died there.
French president François Hollande has ordered the closing of the country’s borders to prevent the escape of the attackers, who have so far not been apprehended.
• Hollande said there were “unprecedented terror attacks under way in Paris” and authorities have warned residents to stay inside.
• The Australian foreign minister, Julie Bishop, said there had been six separate terrorist attacks, beginning at around 9.30pm French time.”

Smoke all the pot you want at some point you have to wake up and face reality . As The governor of the great state of California has said how many people can we afford to have stoned when we live in a complicated and competitive world.. OK it happened at other locations to And the cold-blooded Muderers did not give a —-about killing innocents.

If you face daily danger, apply for a concealed carry permit. Cost you $100 or so. It’s important, as you say, not to use drugs that severely hamper your responses. That’s why the gradual switch to cannabis over alcohol and meth is so important. Cannabis was battle-proven in ‘Nam as Vietnam vet Oliver Stone indicated in his classic flick “Platoon.” I experienced a similar situation in the Navy. Heads vs. Juicers? Hands down heads, with some cross-over. The situation is far less bleak than
you think. It’s a common error to just assume all drugs are equivalent to alcohol, so don’t feel bad.

The governor has a point, but he still did not obstruct progress. Did you know that in some sports like skateboarding, cannabis can be considered performance enhancing?

I hate to say this but this is nothing compared to what could be coming if we don’t wake up. Unfortunately we seem to live in a region fascinated and corrupted by cannabis . But one still has to have hope for a better future .

Meanwhile, in America, other headlines are geared for similar events.
The govt releases a bolo on people who are against illegal invasions.
HUD wants to kick out all people who rely on self medicating of neurological or stress disorders, & raise the American homeless numbers.
Govt increases illegal invasion by the millions.
Los Angeles passes law turning cops into felons if they have a grandfathered clip in their trunk while traveling through.
Word passes lips that protesting any governmental official or decision is now a felony. Destroying the 1st amendment.
Environmentalists want to criminalize the accidental and intentional act of stepping on bugs. (Seriously! Visit Pacific Legal Foundation who is fighting it)
I don’t like how the cards are laying on the table, but maybe I’m just weary.

And mean while our president is pushing to allow over 260000 Syrian refugees a year into the USA with no background check. O and by the way almost 60 percent of those are signal males of military fighting age.

Their actions are motivated by their beliefs. Of course socio-political realities also play a part but specific beliefs have specific consequences, when individuals truly hold those beils. Where are all the Tibetan suicide bombers and terrorist?
