  • I live near there

Wow. In a purely geographical sense this is about 5 blocks from the September shooting death and 7 or 8 blocks from the Watson st shooting death. I live very near there. My son went outside to find something in the car and I went also and we looked at the lights. I wondered what was going on. Had I known there was someone with a high-caliber rifle possibly in the bushes I would most certainly not have gone outside. In fact, if I hadn’t paid to have the internet turned back on this evening I would not know about this at all. I need to join a neighborhood watch.

Prayers for the health and recovery of the person who was shot and I hope very much that the shooter is apprehended fast.

  • look on google maps street view grant and e st eureka ca…. think thats him with the crappy green car?

  • I keep thinking its time to bring the phone tree back into our neighborhoods! Or “text” tree is more appropriate for this era I suppose.

  • Let’s bring back the good cops, the ones that care about our city!!Wtf we need to keep on this shit use some of that money for the new add on to jail to hire more cops and say enough is enough and fight back get rid of all this crime and bullshit.it would be nice to hear again Eureka is a great place to see?right now don’t go to eureka unless you want to get robbed, shot, stabbed, run over!So sick of this shit.can we impeach a chief of police or a sheriff? ??

    • You can have a cop for every two citizens, but if the justice system is so lax and there is no punishment, it means nothing. People mostly commit crimes because there is very little incentive not to.

      • Exactly! More cops, BFD. Start locking their maggot asses up. I would also say they should start putting these POS criminals to work as well. Why don’t we have more work crews that are mandatory?
