[UPDATE 10:05 p.m.] Multiple Rollover Traffic Accident North of Redway, Two Cars Involved

scannerEmergency vehicles raced to the scene of a traffic accident on Hwy 101 north of the Redway exit about 7:41 p.m. At 7:45 p.m., another vehicle reportedly struck the overturned vehicle.

Both southbound lanes are blocked.

UPDATE 7:58 p.m.: At least one patient with major injuries and two other patients injured also. A medical helicopter is headed to the area.

UPDATE 8:03 p.m.: The helicopter is headed to Garberville Airport.

UPDATE 8:05 p.m.: Scanner traffic reports that the helicopter will be arriving in 18 minutes.

He reported that two individuals in one car were injured.. One individual was “life-flighted out.” One was transported to Redwood Memorial. Though the one had major injuries, Anderson said, “I don’t think they’re life threatening.”

The driver of the other car, Anderson said was not injured.

Cal Fire and Redway Fire were on scene. “We were there for about an hour,” Anderson estimated.
