[UPDATE 4:42 p.m.] (Video of Gunpoint Arrest) EPD Detains Three for Stolen Vehicle
At approximately 1 p.m., the Eureka Police Department stopped a stolen vehicle. And tweeted about it soon after. Here’s what they said:

UPDATE 1:51 p.m.: Capt. Steve Watson of the EPD tweeted that “Driver, Sherrie Rosalee Bazan (age 33), in custody for auto theft & possession of stolen property.”
Below are two videos provided by a witness. Watch the first and then the second as suspects are ordered out of the car at gunpoint.
Update 4:42 p.m.: Press release from the Eureka Police Department:
On 10/27/15 at about 12:45 p.m., an Officer with the Eureka Police Department spotted a black Kia sedan traveling east near 7th and K Streets. The Officer knew a black Kia sedan had recently been reported stolen so he ran the license plate. Dispatchers confirmed that the license plate returned to Kia sedan, reported stolen on 10/25/15 from Eureka.
The Officer followed the sedan to the 1500 block of 5th Street, where backup officers also arrived. Officers initiated a high risk traffic stop and detained all three occupants without further incident. The two passengers were questioned and released from the scene.
The driver, Sherrie Bazan, 33 of Eureka, was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving on a suspended license, probation violation, possession of Methamphetamine, and a misdemeanor drug possession warrant.

Are people really that bored and ignorant? Who the hell steals a car and drives it around? The passengers should have been arrested as well. HAHAHAHA and driving on a suspended license!
