[UPDATE 5:46 p.m. No Bomb] Second Cal Fire Office Today With Suspicious Device Check, Crescent City Building Evacuated

A Cal Fire office in Crescent City has evacuated following a suspicious dufflebag being located in their building. This follows a device being found earlier this morning near the Alderpoint Road Cal Fire office. The device in Southern Humboldt is believed to have been left there by a former volunteer firefighter.

Officer Rick Borges of the Del Norte County California Highway Patrol tells us, “We received information that a Cal Fire Office had found a suspicious dufflebag at 8:57 a.m.” He says the occupants have evacuated the building.

Kenny Swithenbank of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office tells us that the Alderpoint Road Cal Fire station device was detonated without any indication of there being any sign of explosive materials inside it.

UPDATE 5:46 p.m.: According to Laura Coleman a spokesperson for Cal Fire, the duffle bag was found to contain nothing but clothing and some papers. It was not a bomb and was not detonated.

Pretty easy to figure out. Today’s Monday and all the growers who have their weed drying were thinking today’s the day the raids were coming. I mean, they shut down ap road

yo, if you’re not joking than i do believe it is as g-ma thought, Crazy Day.
1.) my assumption is that
most grower’s, in any area, are not worried about being busted. they are busting ass working.
2.) what grower is going to want to draw any attention their area or take any chance on pointing a spotlight on themselves?
3.) hso can borrow eureka’s ex military tank and bust through any road block made by man, including the: volunteer fire dept, swat, dea, irs, g.o.p., atf, d.a., crime stoppers, mother nature, national guard, nato, nassau, aliens, etc…
