(Photos) DTF Bust Goes Down in Rio Dell
A reader is alerting us to a drug bust in Rio Dell. According to the reader who sent in these photos, the bust is taking place on Second Street, and it started around 7 a.m. today.
The reader tells us two side-by-side houses were busted by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force.
“They are not fooling around,” the reader said. “They tore the little truck apart.”
The reader said the truck was filled with marijuana, and the bags in the photo above are filled with some sort of meth.

On October 6th, 2015 the Rio Dell Police Department, assisted by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department served two search warrants in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue in Rio Dell. Officers seized more than seventy pounds of marijuana in various stages of being processed, 260 marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, a small amount of a substance believed to be ecstasy, and multiple tablets of methadone. James Maclean, 30 of Rio Dell, was booked into the Humboldt County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, cultivation of marijuana, maintaining a residence used for drug sales, and possession of marijuana for sale. Polly Huffman, 40 of Rio Dell, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale. Rachel Hardy, 24 of Eureka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of ecstasy, possession of methadone, and providing false information to a police officer, and violation of felony probation.

They should make him wear ankle bracelet that detects drug and alcohol then put him to work cleaning trash. South Dakota has a big problem with repeat Dui’s these ankle bracelets work the po’s have to make sure it’s not got a plastic bag around it to block skin to skin contact.
