Armed and Dangerous Suspect Sought by Sheriff’s Office
This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect of the armed robbery at the Trinidad Chevron Station. [See previous story here.] The suspect is Gene Chester Nelson age 28. Nelson is described as an American Indian male, 5’7”, 140 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Nelson is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone comes in contact with Nelson please contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
An arrest warrant has been issued by the Humboldt County Superior Court Judge for PC 211 – Robbery. Nelson’s bail has been set at $100,000.

Interstate flight to avoid capture, you are telling a man to break the law. That is a crime in and of itself. You could be arrested, What if he kills somebody in another state ? That blood will be on your hands
