‘Help Is Here!’ Residents Near Valley Fire Weep as Humboldt Led Convoy Brings Supplies

Earlier this week, a convoy from Humboldt rolled into the burned areas of Lake County. Trucks and vans carrying a variety of supplies for victims of the Valley Fire drove into Middletown. Lake County local, Amy Emerson filmed the heavily loaded vehicles as they drove past a burned field. With tears of joy, she spoke of her gratitude. She wrote when she posted the video,

Words cannot express our thanks! Several families and businesses from North Lake County, Fortuna, Ferndale and Eureka traveled to Middletown to bring loads and loads of clothing/toiletries, dog food, cat food, pig food, chicken food, rabbit food and TONS of hay for the horses and cattle!

Lost Coast Hay Co brought hay and equipments and employees to help. The list of folks that helped is so long.

Emerson especially credits David Collenberg from Lost Coast Hay in Eureka who “made it all happen, along with Luna, Williamson (Great Western) and the Fortuna Ag teacher.”
